Coming Together In Houston
I was born in Odessa, Texas to former doodle bugging parents in the oil patch. Our family moved to Perth, Australia for six plus years. We returned to Houston to reside in the U.S.A. again. After earning my B.F.A. and B.S. from Southwest Texas State University, in five years, Art Education All-Level, and Studio Art specializing in painting in 1983 I returned to Houston to secure employment. After working, and raising a family I began painting again. I’m now a full- time artist.

It brings me great satisfaction to convey an image through paint that I can share with others. I enjoy
capturing a moment in time, favorite flower, person, or scene sharing my interpretation with others.
My work begins at 2” square and goes up to about 4’ x 5’ acrylics and oils on canvas. Currently my work
is available at the Port Aransas Art Center in Port Aransas, the Flying Vine in Cypress, periodically at the
First Saturday Arts Marker in the Heights, and most months during the monthly art show/contests at the
award-winning Rockstar Gallery in Houston. I’ve won two contests at the Rockstar Gallery in the recent
past.
