When and under what circumstances did you move to Houston?  Moved to Houston in 2006 due to my job being transferred.

Brief Artists Statement:  Etta Harris was born in Seoul, South Korea to a Korean mother and an African American father. As a child of a military family, Etta learned how to embrace and celebrate various cultures due to her numerous travel opportunities and her diverse background. She has lived in different parts of the world, which has consequently affected her artistic view on life, race, and culture. Etta’s inspiration is primarily due to her relationship, eternal love, and inspiring freedom that comes from Jesus Christ. Her interpretations of spirituality, love, nature, pain, joy, and love of all people are expressed mainly using acrylic and oil pastels captured in abstract styles. Etta was trained in Seoul, South Korea and in Houston, Texas and holds an Executive Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management. She currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband John who shares and supports her passion for art. Etta is blessed with a loving son and three beautiful grandchildren who inspire much of her art.
