Artist Bio:

1. Statement:

For me personally, art is the most intriguing aspect of human creativity. We are amazing             creatures – at our best we deal in the rarefied air of language, science, music, imagination             and inspiration. But for me, art is special. I see it as a kind of meta-language based in concept,       symbolism and metaphor that is inherently open-ended in its references and interpretations.         Art, practiced through the discipline of craft, takes us to a place where we are open to the   divine.

My work is inherently tied to and referential of the material of glass. I practice in the belief that     the path to artistic resonance is achieved through investigation and expansion ofthe history             and characteristics of the artist’s chosen material.  I am a disciple of the craft of art. My latest   work is the beginning of a journey to see how far I can push the traditional roles,             understanding, and technical aspects of the amazing medium of stained glass.

2. Media

I work in glass. predominantly using a traditional stained glass construction method.  Frequently     I include fused or painted glass techniques within the work.  Sizes vary based on the needs of         the project.

3. Currently Showing

My custom commissions find homes nationwide.  Currently I am in progress fabricating twelve            stained glass windows for a new chapel at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau           Bay.  My non-commissioned artwork is on display at Harmony Stained Glass in Pasadena.
