Candis Smith – Artist Statement

Candis’ artwork varies from representational to abstract and is primarily done in acrylic and oil paint with glazes.  Currently , she finds inspiration in the impressionistic works and her surrounding environment.  Her art fulfills a personal need and represents her life’s journey.  Her style is characterized by energetic brushwork applied in small, quick strokes which captures the light and color from nature.
